Venue: Main Assembly Hall of the University

The welcome reception offers drinks and buffet snack.

The registration fee contains the cost of the reception

1 July at 21.00    Night swimming in the Cave Bath

The thermal cave baths are a unique experience in Europe for those who stand below the karst waterfall which pours down from the depths of the hills. The baths have a delightful location, surrounded by thousands of acres of woodland, and the waters have medicinal properties.

The registration fee includes a free night swimming in the Cave Bath after the Welcome reception from 9pm on 1^st of July.

Detailed information on the night swimming:

A cloakroom will be available for bags with swimming stuff during the Welcome ceremony. At the end of the Welcome reception shuttle buses at 20.30 will be available from the university to the Bath (for those participants who would like to join us for a relaxing night swimming) or to the hotels (for those participants who prefer to return to the hotel).

The name badge will be necessary to enter to the Bath. Towels will be provided by a sponsor, but please bring swimming dress, flip flop and other personal swimming needs.

Official end of the night swimming is 24.00, shuttle buses will be available to hotels from 23.30.

 2 July between 9.30 and 12.30    Guided tour in Miskolc city 

Programme: Visit to the Castle of Diósgyőr, a short walk in the city centre of Miskolc, visit to the  Greek Orthodox Museum. Entrance fees and guided visits are included in the accompanying persons’ fee. Accompanying persons are automatically registered for the tour.

2 July at 19.30    Dinner

Venue: University Canteen

The price of the dinner is included in the registration fee of participants and of accompanying persons.

3 July  between 9.30 and 18.00               Guided tour to Hortobágy

(the Hungarian Steppe or “Puszta”) 

Visit to the Matyó Folklore Museum in Mezőkövesd, which is the regional capital city of Matyóland where the highly coloured embroidery and the folk costumes of the Matyó ethnic group are exhibited. Then travelling to Hortobágy National Park, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve. Visiting the Nine Arch Bridge and the Museum of Shepherds, travelling by horse-driven carriage, having a Hungarian cowboy (Tshikosh – csikós) performance with horses and lunch – enjoying a Hungarian “Gulyás-party”.

The price of the excursion: 80 EUR including travelling, tourist guide, lunch and entrance fees.

3 July at 20.00   Conference Banquet
