About IGIP
Founded in 1972 in
Klagenfurt, Austria, IGIP has members in 72 countries, enjoys
consultative status with UNESCO and UNIDO. IGIP aims include:

improving teaching methods in technical subjects
·
developing practice-oriented curricula that correspond to the needs of
students and employers
·
encouraging the use of media in technical teaching
·
integrating languages and the humanities in engineering education
·
fostering management training for engineers
·
promoting environmental awareness
·
supporting the development of engineering education in developing
countries.
IGIP achieves its aims by arranging
state-of-the-art courses on engineering education, facilitating the
exchange of ideas and experience internationally, supporting the
networking of experts in various fields of technical teaching,
organizing conferences and seminars on engineering education topics.
